Repsol Advance - Emulsions for Open-graded cold mixtures

An open-graded cold bituminous mixture is defined as a combination of coarse aggregates with a bituminous emulsion and occasionally additives, where the manufacturing process does not generally require the components to be heated beforehand.

Properties and applications

They are storable mixtures, and it is advisable, in order to obtain a better coverage and workability, to stockpile them for a few hours. Spreading and compacting should be done at room temperature.

This type of mixtures, without thin layers, allows us to obtain very flexible pavements and therefore adaptable to the deformations of the bases. Its high porous percentage gives the wearing course a high macro-texture, which translates into very safe roads due to its high skid resistance and a high degree of comfort due to its low noise level.
