Our renewable assets

We have 12 hydropower plants, 6 wind, and 7 solar projects. We also continue to develop renewable projects in Spain, Italy, Chile, and the United States. In this way, we plan to continue our international expansion to become a global operator, with a generation capacity of between 9-10 GW by 2027.

Advancing toward our goal of becoming a global player in renewable energy

The creation of a joint venture in Chile with Grupo Ibereólica Renovables gives us access to a portfolio of projects in operation, construction and development of more than 1.6 GW until 2025 and the possibility of exceeding 2.6 GW by 2030.

Repsol has also signed an agreement to acquire 40% of Hecate Energy, a US-based company specializing in photovoltaic and battery storage projects.

More recently, the company has begun to produce electricity at our first US photovoltaic plant, Jicarilla 2, located in Rio Arriba County in New Mexico.

Repsol has completed construction of its Frye Solar project, its largest photovoltaic plant to date, with a total installed capacity of 637 MW and 570 MW currently in operation in the United States.
